    Hi

I am looking at transporting an African Grey parrot to Latvia.
Would the requirements be the same as per requirements for Europe and what would the approximate price be.
I do not have a cage, or any idea how to do this.
A friend in Latvia is looking to buy an African Grey in SA due to their cheap price and have it shipped over.

    Thanks, best regards
    Hugo

The information below posted on your website is incorrect – the quarantine period is only 10 days in New Zealand. A friend from SA has just moved to NZ and her dog was only in quarantine for 10 days. I also confirmed this with my local vet.

•Quarantine in total: 4 months upon arrival. Procedure is started 6 months prior to departure to New Zealand at home (no quarantine), and then 4 months quarantine in New Zealand

    Hi,
I am planning to buy two pappies and send them from cape Town to Blantyre-Malawi. Can someone tell me the proccedure, approximate cost and what the requirements are before I can actually buy them. I have a lovely property there and I need dogs around my house. I grew up with dogs and I love them but I can hardly find the Breeders of Alaskan Malamute within that country.

I got your information from thr travel Agents.
Hopping to hearing from you soon.
    Yours Sincerely,
    George Chitimba Meje

We are planning to move to England in August 2013. We have two dachshunds, the mail weighs 7kg’s and the female is a miniture who weighs 3kg’s. Can you please inform me how long they must be in quarantine (here in SA and perhaps in the UK) and what the total cost for quarantine, flight, certificates, etc. will be?

I am struggling to find the information on the UK websites and therefore I am ashamedly bombarding you with questions. I really hope that you can assist me with these questions.

    Thank you very much.

  23. Robert Penson on March 15, 2012 at 12:49 pm

    Good day,

There is a possibility that we will be moving to the UK in the next 3-6 months. I have 2 golden labradors (approx 24kg’s each) and 1 fox terrier/cross (approx 12 kg’s). Please can you advise of an approximate cost to ship to the UK? Also, do you provide pet travel boxes on a ” for hire” basis?

Furthermore, I note that the travel requirements to the UK changed with effect from Jan 2012. It would appear that there is no need for quarantine of animals anymore provided the owners adhere to specific criteria. (As stated on DEFRA). Can you confirm if my assumptions are correct?

    Thank you in advance

    Hi,
We currently live in Knysna, Western Cape and am looking at moving to Thailand. We have 2 x Border Collies (large breed – both about 7,5 years old) and 1 x Cat (14 years old).
Please could you advise as to all requirements from both South Africa as well as Thailand and also approximate costs from Cape Town to Bangkok? We would organise transport to and from the airports on both sides ourselves.
I have found comments on the internet that they could also leave on the same flight as we do and that we could clear Thailand Customs in Bangkok in about 3 hours and it seems that there is no quarantine period required in Thailand?
Look forward to hearing from you.
    Sandra
