I am looking at importing a German Shepard puppy from possibly Germany to Rustenburg, North West SA. The puppy will be aproximately 8 weeks old and will have all the normal vaccinations.
Is there additional vaccinations required?
Please indicate what permits will be required?
What period will this dog have to be in quarintine, where will it be in qaurintine? How long in advance do we book for quarintine?
What will the costs be etc. This is so that I can prepare in advance and not work on the cost of the puppy alone.

I understand that as from January 2012, the quarantine requirements for UK will not apply, and that the ones for New Zealand are down to 10 days. Is the requirement for Australia still the same??

Please could you give me an idea of the costs involved in importing a staffordshire bull terrier puppy (3 months old) from the USA, Washington, into SA JHB Int airport. I need to know complete price as well as what innoculations and paperwork would be required from USA, would you handle all aspects of travel/documentation etc or would the seller in the USA have to do paperwork etc.
